Fresh Bomb Threat at Sambalpur Court Triggers Late-Night Security Sweep

The Sambalpur Court in Odisha received another bomb threat on Sunday night, prompting an immediate and large-scale security operation. Police, bomb disposal teams, dog squads, and cyber personnel conducted a thorough search of the court premises. Although nothing suspicious was found, security has been tightened as a precaution.

Tension gripped the Sambalpur Court complex late Sunday night after authorities received a fresh bomb threat, leading to an urgent security response. Senior police officials quickly arrived at the scene, and a coordinated search operation was launched to ensure public safety.

Around 11:00 pm, teams comprising local police, the bomb disposal squad, dog squad, and cyber police personnel began a systematic inspection of the entire court premises. Sniffer dogs and metal detectors were used to examine entry gates, courtrooms, corridors, offices, and other sensitive sections of the complex. The search operation continued for several hours to rule out any potential danger.

Officials stated that the threat is being taken seriously, especially considering previous similar incidents. The Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), and Inspectors-in-Charge (IICs) of multiple police stations personally supervised the verification process at the spot. Authorities are currently reviewing past threat patterns to determine whether the latest alert is linked to earlier cases.

So far, police have not revealed details about how the threat was communicated or who may be behind it. Investigations are ongoing, and further updates are expected after a detailed technical analysis.

Despite the alarming message, court proceedings are likely to continue as scheduled. However, security measures have been significantly reinforced, and additional personnel have been deployed to prevent any untoward incident. Officials have assured the public that all necessary steps are being taken to maintain safety and order.
