Choudwar Jailbreak: Absconding Prisoner Sent on Six-Day Police Remand

Madhukant Rana, a prisoner who escaped from Choudwar Circle Jail and was later arrested in Vrindavan, has been sent on six-day police remand. Investigators will question him to uncover details about the jailbreak, possible accomplices, and how he managed to cross state borders.

In a major development in the Choudwar jailbreak case, a court has granted six days of police remand for Madhukant Rana, a criminal from Bihar who had escaped from Choudwar Circle Jail. Police said the remand will allow investigators to conduct intensive interrogation and gather crucial information about the escape.

Rana was arrested recently in Vrindavan after a coordinated operation by law enforcement agencies. Following his return to Odisha, investigators sought his custody to question him about how he managed to flee from a high-security jail, whether any accomplices were involved, and if there was any internal support that aided the escape.

During the remand period, police will also probe how Rana and his associates managed to cross the Odisha border and evade detection for several days. Officials believe his interrogation could reveal details about a possible network that may have provided logistical or financial support.

Meanwhile, the main accused in the jailbreak case, Raja Sahani, is still absconding. Police have intensified search operations to trace him and are continuing investigations to uncover the full sequence of events behind the daring escape.
