Long-Standing Well Dispute Triggers Group Clash in Pipli, Two Critically Injured.

A prolonged dispute over a well led to a violent clash between two groups in Pipli area of Odisha’s Puri district, leaving two persons critically injured and three others hurt. Police have registered a case and begun an investigation.

A violent clash triggered by along-standing dispute over a welllefttwo persons seriously injuredandthree others with minor injuriesatKanas Garh village under Pipli police limitson Wednesday, police said.According to officials, the dispute between the two parties dates back to2021and had remained a source of tension in the area for several years. The injured persons, who resideoutside the village, had reportedly come to Kanas Garh for a brieftwo-day visitwhen the incident occurred.Following the incident, the injured were rushed toKhordha District Hospitalfor immediate medical attention. Due to the seriousness of the injuries,two victims were later referred to AIIMS Bhubaneswarfor advanced treatment. Officials saidone of the injured is currently undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
