A minor boy has been detained by police in connection with an alleged sexual assault on a seven-year-old Tibetan girl in the Chandragiri outpost area under Mohana police station in Odisha’s Gajapati district. The incident, which reportedly occurred in the absence of the child’s parents, has raised serious concerns and drawn attention due to the sensitivity of the case.Officials said the girl will be presented before the District Child Welfare Committee to ensure appropriate care, counselling, and rehabilitation. The Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) visited the area and is personally supervising the investigation.Police assured that the investigation is ongoing and that all procedures will be followed strictly under the Juvenile Justice Act and child protection laws.
