The rise in daytime temperatures since the beginning of March has intensified heat conditions across Odisha, with Jharsuguda recording the highest temperature of 39.6 degrees Celsius in the past 24 hours. According to the Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar, the current warm weather pattern is expected to continue across the state for the next five days, with no significant change in temperatures during this period.
Several parts of Odisha have already begun experiencing warmer days as the mercury steadily climbs. Meteorological officials have indicated that while temperatures will remain largely stable, the prevailing heat conditions are likely to persist, making the coming days relatively hot for residents across the state.
However, a shift in weather conditions may occur in some areas later this week. The Regional Meteorological Centre has forecast the possibility of rainfall accompanied by lightning and thunder in North Odisha from March 8. This development could bring temporary relief to regions experiencing rising heat levels since early March.
