Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi celebrated his 54th birthday on Monday, marking the occasion amid an outpouring of greetings and good wishes from political leaders, party workers, and well-wishers across the country. The messages reflected his growing stature in both state and national politics. Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his birthday wishes to the Chief Minister through a post on social media platform X, praising Majhi’s dedication to Odisha’s development and youth empowerment. The Prime Minister highlighted Majhi’s contributions to strengthening the state’s growth trajectory and prayed for his long and healthy life in service of the people. “Birthday wishes to Odisha’s hardworking Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi Ji. He has made outstanding efforts to enhance Odisha’s growth trajectory and empower the youth of the state. Praying for his long and healthy life in service of the people,” PM Modi wrote. Union Home Minister Amit Shah also conveyed his greetings, praying for a successful and meaningful life journey for the Chief Minister. BJP National Vice President and Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda joined other leaders in extending warm wishes on the occasion. Born on January 6, 1972, in Raikala village of Keonjhar district, Mohan Charan Majhi began his political journey at the grassroots level. He entered electoral politics in 2000 after being elected as an MLA from the Keonjhar Assembly constituency. His career has since been marked by steady growth and strong grassroots connect. Following the BJP’s decisive victory in Odisha in the 2024 Assembly elections, Majhi was sworn in as the state’s 15th Chief Minister on June 12. As he marks another year, the day serves both as a celebration of his personal milestone and a moment of reflection on the responsibilities he shoulders, with expectations high for Odisha’s future under his leadership.
