After Sanju Samson’s disappointing golden duck in India’s third T20I against New Zealand, veteran Ajinkya Rahane offered guidance for the wicketkeeper-batter to regain form. Rahane stressed that Samson should not compare himself with teammate Abhishek Sharma, who scored a blazing 50 in just 14 balls.
Rahane highlighted Samson’s past performances in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and urged team management and captain Suryakumar Yadav to provide support and freedom for Samson to play his natural game. He suggested Samson rebuild his rhythm with small, steady innings before taking risks, ensuring confidence ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026.
