OSRTC Removes Three Officials From Duty, Withholds Salaries After Inquiry Findings

The Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) has taken strict administrative action against three officials by keeping them out of duty and withholding their salaries with immediate effect. The decision follows a departmental inquiry into allegations made against them, according to an office order issued by the Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of OSRTC.

The disciplinary action is based on recommendations of a preliminary inquiry report submitted after a hearing held at the OSRTC Corporate Office in Bhubaneswar on December 24, 2025.
The officials placed out of duty include:

  • Eswar Mohapatra, District Manager, OSRTC Koraput

  • Jyoti Prakash Behera, Assistant Manager (Depot), OSRTC Jeypore

  • Preetish Kumar Nayak, Assistant Manager (Depot), OSRTC Sundargarh

The order states that the three officials will remain relieved from duty until further notice and will not receive any remuneration during this period.

Interim Arrangements Announced

To ensure continued operations and avoid administrative gaps, OSRTC has reassigned responsibilities across districts:

  • Aroshree Sahoo, District Manager, Malkangiri, has been re-sponsored to Koraput and given additional charge as Assistant Manager (Depot), Jeypore.

  • Gurudutta Dora, District Manager, Malkangiri, will also serve as Depot In-Charge of OSRTC’s Malkangiri unit.

  • Debasish Nayak, Assistant Manager, Sundargarh, has been directed to function as District Manager, Sundargarh, alongside his current duties.

The order emphasized that these arrangements are temporary and will remain in effect until further directives are issued by OSRTC management.
