Raul John Aju, India’s 16-year-old AI prodigy, attended theIndia AI Impact Summit 2026at Bharat Mandapam from February 16 to 20. Recognized as the‘AI Kid of India,’Raul addressed the summit, interacted with the UN Secretary-General, and shared his vision of practical, accessible artificial intelligence.
“I met him here, and it was a very good experience. I was called here as I am known as the ‘AI Kid of India,’ and I am also speaking here. I have been building AI tools and have trained 1.5 lakh students and some companies,” Raul said, highlighting how self-learning through YouTube and parental guidance shaped his journey.
Earlier, at theIndia Today South Conclave 2025, Raul simplified AI concepts for the public, explaining that AI is fundamentally“just boring math and data”focused on prediction—whether of words, pixels, or sounds. His message was clear: AI does not replace humans;people who know how to use AI do.Using the example of Nokia’s decline, Raul emphasized the importance of adopting new tools to stay competitive.
Raul also demonstrated practical applications of AI through projects such asJustEase Project 47x, which simplifies legal processes and provides emergency guidance, and his“me-bot”, a voice-cloned assistant that teaches in his voice. These innovations showcase his focus on creating tools with public utility.
Beyond technology, Raul advocated for rethinking education in India. He stressedskills, creativity, and hands-on learning over rote memorizationas the foundation for preparing young people to work with AI. Sharing his own journey—from building a robot at age six to launching widely used AI tools—he inspired students and professionals alike to take curiosity and consistent effort seriously.
Raul concluded with a call to action:learn AI, build practical solutions, and make India a leader in applied AI, turning innovation into real-world impact. His story exemplifies how determination, creativity, and responsible technology use can empower an entire generation.
