PM Modi Welcomes Nitin Nabin as New ‘Millennial’ BJP Chief; Worker Highlights Boss-Employee Dynamic

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday officially welcomed Nitin Nabin as the new "millennial" president of the BJP at a grand ceremony held at the party headquarters in Delhi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday praised Nitin Nabin, the youngest leader to become BJP national president, calling him a “millennial,” ready to carry forward the party’s legacy, and telling workers, “When it comes to the party, Nitin Nabin is the boss, and I am a party worker.” PM Modi lauded Nabin for completing all assigned duties responsibly, highlighting his generation, which grew up hearing news on the radio and is now adept at using AI.

“To put it in today’s youth language, Nitin ji is a millennial, he has witnessed major economic, social, and technological transformations in India, and with youthful energy and extensive organizational experience, he will benefit every party worker,” said PM Modi.

The 45-year-old Nitin Nabin, son of the late BJP leader and former MLA Nabin Kishore Prasad Sinha, is an undefeated five-time MLA from Bankipur in Bihar, and while born in 1980, embodies millennial qualities. PM Modi added that the BJP president’s role extends beyond the party, ensuring NDA coordination, calling BJP a culture, a family, and a platform for newcomers, where leadership changes but ideals remain constant.

Nitin Nabin won the BJP presidential election unopposed, succeeding JP Nadda, and previously held road, construction, and urban development portfolios in the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government before resigning to contest the post.
