Odisha Chief Secretary Anu Garg on Thursday advised district collectors to develop each district as an economic growth hub and a driver of development for underdeveloped regions. During a high-level virtual meeting, she directed collectors to ensure smooth administrative functioning and closely monitor the progress of major developmental projects in their respective districts.
Garg emphasised effective implementation of government schemes, regular review of the top 25 projects in each district, and strict monitoring of drinking water projects. She also called for monthly reviews of health programmes to reduce infant and maternal mortality. The meeting discussed industrial facilitation, healthcare improvements, District Mineral Foundation fund management, and progress of science centre and planetarium projects, reinforcing the state’s vision of balanced and inclusive development.
