Maa Majhighariani Temple Hundi Counting: 250 Women Volunteers Participate

Around 250 women volunteers from different organisations have been engaged to assist in today’s counting of donations at Maa Majhighariani Temple.

The counting of donations from the hundis at Maa Majhighariani Temple in Rayagada commenced on Monday, with stringent security measures in place. During the previous counting in July, the temple received over Rs 1.04 crore in offerings.

For today’s process, around 250 women volunteers from various organisations have been engaged to assist in opening the nine hundis and counting the cash. The procedure is being conducted under tight police supervision, in the presence of the Tehsildar and members of the temple management committee.

Volunteer B Shrabanti expressed her devotion, saying, “I am fortunate to serve Maa Majhighariani and have been participating in this counting process for the last four years.” Raisingh Bidika, President of the temple trust, added, “Volunteers from different temples and coaching centres are helping in counting. The process began at 9 am and is expected to be completed by evening.”

The initiative highlights community participation and transparency in temple donation management, ensuring that offerings are properly accounted for and recorded.
