Banks in Maharashtra will remain closed onThursday, January 15, 2026, due to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections. January is also packed with regional festivals, so customers are advised to check the bank holiday calendar before planning any branch visits.

Regions with Bank Closures on January 15

Banks will also be closed inUttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Sikkim, Telangana, and Andhra Pradeshfor festivals such asMakara Sankranti, Uttarayana Punyakala, Pongal, and Maghe Sankranti.
