A jail warder was found dead under mysterious circumstances inside the government quarters located within theJharpada Jailcampus inBhubaneswaron Friday, creating concern among prison staff and local authorities.

The deceased has been identified asSarathi Pradhan, who was serving as a warder atNayagarh Jail. According to preliminary information, his body was found hanging inside the government quarters where his family members were residing within the Jharpada Jail campus.

Sources said that although Pradhan was posted at Nayagarh Jail, his family had been living in the staff quarters inside the Jharpada Jail premises. Officials from the local police station and jail authorities conducted an initial inquiry at the scene.
