In a commendable display of alertness and courage, two personnel of theCentral Industrial Security Force (CISF)saved the life of a man who collapsed suddenly atBiju Patnaik International Airporton Friday.

According to reports, an employee of the Institute of Liver and Hepato-Biliary Sciences (ILHBS), deployed at the airport screening point, suddenly lost consciousness while on duty. The emergency was immediately noticed by CISF personnel stationed nearby.

CISF jawanDimple Kumaracted without hesitation and began administeringCardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)to the unconscious man. His prompt response helped revive the employee within minutes. Another CISF personnel,D.P. Gupta, assisted in the rescue operation and ensured the situation was managed until medical help arrived.

After being stabilised at the airport, the employee was rushed toCapital Hospitalfor further treatment. Doctors at the hospital praised the CISF personnel for their quick thinking and effective first aid.

Medical experts confirmed that thetimely CPR played a crucial role in saving the man’s life, stating that any delay could have resulted in serious complications or death.
