Domestic LPG Cylinder Price Hiked by Rs 60 Across India, Commercial Cylinders Up by Rs 115

The price of a 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder has been increased by Rs 60 across India from March 7. Commercial LPG cylinder prices have also risen by Rs 115 amid global energy concerns.

The price of domestic cooking gas has been increased across India, with the cost of a 14.2-kgLiquefied Petroleum Gascylinder rising by Rs 60 from March 7, according to official sources.

Following the revision, the price of a domestic LPG cylinder inBhubaneswarhas reached Rs 939. InDelhi, the price has increased from Rs 853 to Rs 913, while inMumbaiit has risen from Rs 852.50 to Rs 912.50. InKolkata, the rate has gone up from Rs 879 to Rs 930, and inChennaiit has increased from Rs 868.50 to Rs 928.50. The domestic LPG prices had remained unchanged since April 2025.

The price hike has also impacted commercial users. The cost of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has been increased by Rs 115. In Delhi, the price has risen to Rs 1,883, while in Mumbai it has climbed to Rs 1,835. In Kolkata and Chennai, the new prices stand at Rs 1,990 and Rs 2,043.50 respectively.

Responding to concerns about rising fuel costs and global tensions,Hardeep Singh Puriassured consumers that India’s energy supply remains stable and there is no shortage of fuel in the country.

Meanwhile,Indian Oil Corporationdismissed rumours about shortages of petrol and diesel, stating that fuel stocks are adequate.

Officials also highlighted that India has diversified its crude oil import sources to reduce dependency on any single route.Russia, which accounted for only 0.2% of India’s crude imports in 2022, has now emerged as a major supplier. In February, India imported around 20% of its crude requirements from Russia, about 1.04 million barrels per day.

Government sources added that LPG refineries have been asked to increase production while additional imports from theUnited Stateshave begun arriving under a one-year contract for approximately 2.2 million tonnes of LPG in 2026.
