The makers of Bigg Boss have finally addressed the long-standing accusations of host Salman Khan being biased towards certain contestants during Bigg Boss 19. Breaking their silence, producer Deepak Dhar strongly defended the actor, dismissing the criticism as misplaced and exaggerated.
In an interaction with the media, Dhar clarified that Salman’s conduct on the show is never scripted or manipulated. He described the actor as authentic and emotionally invested in the format, stating that Salman is deeply conscious of fairness and accountability inside the house. According to Dhar, the team respects Salman’s instincts and stands firmly by him amid online speculation.
The producer added that while criticism is inevitable for a show of Bigg Boss’s scale, the makers choose to respond only when necessary rather than reacting to every allegation. He emphasised that Salman’s neutrality is often misunderstood, but his intention has always been to keep the game honest and the contestants accountable.
Bigg Boss 19 concluded with Gaurav Khanna emerging as the winner, while Farrhana Bhatt finished as the first runner-up. The grand finale aired on December 7, wrapping up another season that sparked intense debate, fan wars and widespread online discussion.
Despite the controversy, the producers maintain that Salman Khan remains central to the show’s identity, describing him as the guiding force and emotional anchor of Bigg Boss.
