Bhubaneswar, January 20, 2026:Good news for fans of actor Piyush Tripathi: he will once again perform on the Jatra stage. The Bhubaneswar Civil Court has lifted restrictions that had previously barred him from acting due to a contractual dispute.
The court’s permission allows Piyush to act in the upcoming Jatra performances, including the much-anticipated play ‘Tu Mo Bajrangi.’ The actor, who is currently performing with the Singhabahini troupe, will showcase his acting skills to eager audiences as the Khanda Giri Jatra Mahasamar approaches.
Six months ago, on June 6, 2025, Piyush had performed in ‘Tu Mo Bajrangi’ with the Singhabahini troupe. However, the owner of Surya Mandir, who had filed a complaint citing that Piyush had acted in another production despite an active contract with them until June 2026, had sought to restrict his stage appearances. The court had initially barred him from performing pending further hearings.
Today, during the latest hearing, the court ruled in Piyush’s favor, allowing him to resume acting on the Jatra stage. Fans can now look forward to seeing his celebrated performances once again.
