High-Speed Car Crash in Sambalpur’s Ainthapali Sends Engine Flying 100 Feet, Driver Escapes Unhurt

A high-speed car accident in Ainthapali area of Sambalpur district late Thursday night caused massive damage after a four-wheeler rammed into an electric pole, ejecting its engine nearly 100 feet away. Despite the severity of the crash, the driver survived without life-threatening injuries. Police have launched an investigation, suspecting overspeeding and possible racing within city limits.

A dramatic high-speed road accident occurred late Thursday night at Ainthapali in Odisha’s Sambalpur district, leaving a four-wheeler completely wrecked. According to preliminary reports, the car crashed into an electric pole near Adarsha Marg with such force that its engine was flung nearly 100 feet across the road.

All airbags deployed during the collision, which officials believe played a crucial role in saving the driver from serious injuries. After hitting the electric pole, the rear portion of the car went on to strike three parked two-wheelers, two of which were severely damaged after being crushed between the car and the pole.

Authorities later cleared the damaged vehicles from the spot. While there were no casualties, police sources indicated that CCTV footage shows the car being driven at an extremely high speed within city limits. Unconfirmed reports also suggest the involvement of another vehicle, raising suspicions of street racing.

Police have initiated a detailed probe to determine the exact cause of the accident.
