A woman identified as Rosalin Behera was found dead under suspicious circumstances at Mainsikhal Tarini Basti in Bhubaneswar, triggering tension in the area. Her body was discovered hanging inside her residence, and the incident was initially suspected to be a suicide.
However, her family members have alleged foul play and accused her husband, Shaswata Pattnaik, of murdering her. They claimed she had been facing marital problems since their marriage around one and a half years ago and demanded a thorough investigation.
Police reached the scene after receiving information and sent the body for post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. Meanwhile, the husband is reportedly absconding, which has further deepened suspicion in the case.
Authorities have launched a search to trace and apprehend the accused, and further action will be taken based on the post-mortem report and investigation findings in Odisha.
