Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan arrived in Odisha on Thursday and proceeded directly to Cuttack after landing at the Bhubaneswar airport, reaching ahead of schedule. He was received by Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Chief Secretary Anu Garg, and senior officials, and was accorded a Guard of Honour on arrival.
During his visit, the Vice President attended Parakram Diwas programmes to mark the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. He paid floral tributes at Netaji’s statue, visited the Netaji Museum, and inaugurated the District Culture Bhawan in Cuttack. Elaborate security arrangements were put in place across Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, while the Netaji Memorial remained closed to the public during the visit.
