Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to visit Odisha on March 5–6, 2026, for a series of official engagements across Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Jatani. Ahead of his arrival, a crucial high-level security meeting was held at the DGP camp office, attended by senior police officials, including DG Law & Order Vinaytosh Mishra, ADG Sanjay Kumar, Director of Intelligence RP Koche, and Coastal Security ADG Arun Bothra.
The discussions focused on enhancing law enforcement readiness, intelligence coordination, and coastal security to ensure the safety and smooth execution of all scheduled programmes. Shah’s itinerary includes attending the CISF Raising Day programme in Cuttack, laying the foundation stone for the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) and Central Forensic Science Laboratory campus at Jatani, and inaugurating the Naveen Nyaya Sanhita exhibition at the IDCO Exhibition Ground.
Preparations have been coordinated under the supervision of Chief Secretary Anu Garg, with extensive administrative and security arrangements in place to manage his official engagements efficiently.
