A shocking triple murder was reported from Gariapali village in Odisha’s Deogarh district where an elderly man allegedly killed his wife, daughter-in-law and granddaughter during a domestic dispute. The accused, identified as Ramesh, fled the scene and police have launched a manhunt.

A gruesome triple murder has shocked residents ofGariapali village in Deogarh district, where three members of a family were allegedly killed by an elderly man following a domestic dispute.

According to preliminary reports, the victims have been identified as thewife, daughter-in-law and granddaughter of the accused. The accused, identified asRamesh, allegedly attacked the three women inside the house during a heated family altercation.

Sources said the victims werebeaten to death with a hammerduring the incident. It has also been reported that the accused wasunder the influence of alcoholat the time of the alleged attack.

Accused Absconding After Incident

Following the brutal attack, the accused reportedlyfled the village, leaving residents in shock.

The incident reportedly came to light whenRamesh’s son returned home and found the bodies of the three victims. He immediately informed the police about the shocking incident.

Police Begin Investigation

After receiving information, police from theKundheigola police stationrushed to the spot and began an investigation. The bodies were later recovered and further legal procedures were initiated.

As part of the investigation, police arequestioning neighbours and other villagersto gather details about the circumstances leading to the alleged murders.

Authorities have launched efforts totrace and apprehend the accused, who is currently absconding.
