Hyva Truck Ploughs Into Auto Near Jaleswar School, Three Critically Injured

Three people were critically injured after a sand-laden Hyva truck rammed into an auto rickshaw near Jaleswar Town High School on Thursday morning. The injured were rushed to Balasore hospital as police launched an investigation into the crash.

A major road accident was reported near Jaleswar Town High School on Thursday morning when a Hyva truck carrying sand collided with an auto rickshaw heading towards Jaleswar station. The impact crushed the auto, leaving three passengers critically injured. Locals rushed to the scene and shifted the victims, all reportedly from West Bengal, to the Balasore district headquarters hospital for advanced treatment.

Police reached the spot promptly and began an investigation, including scanning CCTV footage to determine the cause of the crash. Preliminary inputs suggest the truck may have been operating without proper licences or documentation, though officials have not confirmed this yet. Traffic movement on the busy stretch was briefly affected before being restored.
