Three children have gone missing from different parts of Bhubaneswarwithin a span of 24 hours, prompting the Bhubaneswar–Cuttack Commissionerate Policeto launch a detailed investigation and announce a reward for information that could help trace them.
A 12-year-old boy, Pradyumna Pradhan, has been reported missing from the Dhauliarea. According to reports, the Class 6 student was last seen riding a bicycle and carrying a bag.
The other two missing children —Sumitra Dehuri and Shubhashree Nayak— were reported missing from Salia Sahi. Police have not disclosed further details regarding the circumstances surrounding their disappearance.
Officials from Nayapalli Police Stationand Dhauli Police Station said that investigations were launched after family members filed complaints about the missing children.
As part of the probe, police have gathered information from family members regarding the children’s recent activities, including people they may have met and places they visited in recent days. Authorities are also examining whether the incidents could be linked to kidnapping.
Police teams are analysing CCTV footage from nearby areas, questioning neighbours, and trying to retrace the children’s movements before they went missing. Investigators are also checking whether similar incidents have occurred earlier and if there could be any connection between them.
To assist in tracing the children, police have announced a reward of ₹25,000 for anyone providing credible information. Authorities have also issued helpline numbers — 9439646499, 8280338310, 9437123496, 9090289230, and 9777928911 — and urged the public to come forward with any leads that could help locate the missing children.
