MCC Releases NEET PG 2025 Round 3 Counselling Schedule

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially announced the NEET PG 2025 Round 3 counselling schedule, offering clarity to thousands of postgraduate medical aspirants across India. Eligible candidates can now register for Round 3 through the official website.

This counselling round is crucial as it determines admissions to MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses in government, private, deemed, and central universities. Round 3 will cover 50% of All India Quota (AIQ) seats and 100% of seats in deemed universities, central universities, and Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) institutions.

Important Dates for NEET PG 2025 Round 3:

  • Registration & Choice Filling:January 16–26, 2026

  • Choice Locking:January 26, 2026, from 4 PM

  • Seat Allotment Result:January 29, 2026

  • Reporting to Colleges:January 30 – February 6, 2026

In a significant update, the National Board of Examinations for Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has lowered the minimum qualifying percentile for NEET PG 2025 across all categories. This allows more candidates to participate in counselling, ensuring better seat utilisation.

Candidates who are allotted seats must report to their respective colleges within the stipulated timeframe with all original documents for verification, or risk losing their seat.

Aspirants are advised to complete registration promptly and regularly checkfor updates on further counselling rounds, mop-up rounds, document verification guidelines, and the latest seat matrix and college-wise vacancies.

With extended registration dates, a transparent counselling process, and reduced cut-off scores, NEET PG 2025 Round 3 presents an important opportunity for medical graduates to secure postgraduate seats for the 2025–26 academic year.
