The charter aircraft that met with an accident near Jalda in Rourkela will be transported to Bhubaneswar on Monday as part of the ongoing investigation into the crash, officials said. The damaged parts of the aircraft will be shifted in two large trucks under the supervision of technical experts.
The aircraft had crashed on January 10, prompting authorities to launch a detailed probe to determine the cause of the mishap. A team of around 10 to 12 technical experts has already arrived at the crash site and has begun the careful process of dismantling and packing crucial components for transportation.
Officials said the operation is being carried out with extreme caution to ensure that vital evidence related to the crash remains intact. The aircraft’s components are being systematically loaded onto trucks before being moved to Bhubaneswar for further examination.
According to sources, the recovered technical parts will undergo detailed analysis. The engine section of the aircraft is expected to be sent to Canada for specialised examination by aviation experts to establish the exact cause of the crash. The aircraft’s black box had already been sent earlier as part of the investigation.
Authorities stated that more clarity on the incident will emerge only after the completion of technical evaluations, as investigators work to reconstruct the sequence of events leading to the crash.
