Bharat Ke Super Founders, which premiered on MXPlayer on January 16, aims to redefine business reality shows in India. In an exclusive conversation with India Today, actor and entrepreneurSuniel Shettyexplained how the show differs fromShark Tank, emphasizingvalues, mentorship, and ecosystem buildingover valuations and television drama.
Shetty, who mentors aspiring entrepreneurs alongside industry tycoons likeDr Velumani, stressed that the show’s mission is to create a supportive environment where founders can pitch fearlessly, receive guidance, and access resources for long-term growth. “We don’t believe in abusing for views. Honesty and helping each other grow is the only way forward,” Shetty said.
The series highlights the holistic approach to entrepreneurship—tycoons help scale ideas, provide mentorship, and connect founders to investors, while founders focus on product, vision, and execution. Both mentors and founders have shared emotional and inspiring journeys, with Shetty emphasizing that his role goes beyond filming, offering lifelong support to promising entrepreneurs.
Velumani added, “Our effort is to connect money and dreams. When there is funding and mentorship combined, transformation happens.” Shetty concluded that being part of the show was humbling, teaching him as much as it taught the founders, while also celebrating India’s entrepreneurial spirit.
