President of India Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to arrive in Odisha on February 2 for a five-day visit, during which she will take part in several official, cultural, and religious programmes across the state. One of the major highlights of her visit will be her stop at Jajpur district on February 3.
During her visit to Jajpur, the President will offer prayers at the historic Maa Biraja Temple, one of the most prominent Shakti Peethas and an important spiritual centre in Odisha. She is also scheduled to perform pinda daan for her ancestors at the sacred Nabhigaya site, which holds immense religious significance.
Ahead of the visit, the Jajpur district administration, in coordination with temple authorities, has intensified preparations to ensure a smooth and dignified programme. The temple premises are being beautified with special emphasis on cleanliness, decoration, and crowd management. Multi-layered security arrangements are also being put in place to ensure the safety of the President.
As per the official schedule, President Murmu will land at the administrative ground in Jajpur at around 9:30 am on February 3 and proceed by road to the Maa Biraja Temple. She will offer prayers and perform rituals between 10:00 am and 11:30 am before departing from Jajpur at around 11:40 am. The visit has generated excitement and pride among local residents.
