A Plus Two student was seriously injured after being attacked with a blade by unidentified miscreants while she was on her way to appear for an examination inPuridistrict on Friday morning.
The incident took place at Muguria under theGop Police Stationlimits. According to reports, the student was travelling to her examination centre when the sudden assault occurred.
Police said unidentified attackers assaulted the student with a blade and fled the spot immediately after carrying out the attack. The victim sustained injuries on her neck, waist and chest during the incident.
After the assault, the student was found lying unconscious. Family members and local residents rushed her toGop Hospital, where she was admitted for treatment.
Due to the serious injuries she suffered in the attack, the student was unable to appear for her examination. The incident has caused concern among residents in the area.
After receiving information about the attack, police reached the spot and began an investigation. Authorities said the motive behind the assault is not yet clear and efforts are underway to identify and trace the persons involved.
