During the Republic Day parade in New Delhi, Odisha’s tableau showcased the state’s journey from tradition to innovation under the theme “Soil to Silicon: Rooted in Tradition, Rising with Innovation.” The presentation highlighted Odisha’s rich cultural legacy through symbols such as the Konark Sun Temple, Pattachitra paintings, Tarakasi craftsmanship and tribal art, alongside modern elements like a semiconductor chip symbolising technological advancement.
Emphasis was placed on women-led and inclusive development, sustainable livelihoods through Koraput coffee, and the state’s growing role in innovation-driven sectors. Folk performers presenting the Chaiti Ghoda dance added cultural vibrancy to the tableau, reinforcing Odisha’s identity and contribution to Atmanirbhar Bharat.
