Hassan Eisakhil made history in the Bangladesh Premier League by batting alongside his father, Mohammad Nabi, for Noakhali Express, becoming the first father-son duo to share the crease in a top-tier T20 league. Eisakhil produced a brilliant 92-run innings against Dhaka Capitals in Sylhet on Sunday, marking his debut in an overseas franchise tournament and immediately making an impact after Noakhali made major team changes following six consecutive defeats.

Before the toss, Nabi presented his son with the Noakhali cap in an emotional gesture. Eisakhil responded with a composed and aggressive innings, striking seven fours and five sixes in 60 balls. He first shared a 101-run opening stand with Soumya Sarkar and later stitched a 53-run partnership with his father.

The pair’s batting styles bore striking similarities. Like Nabi, Eisakhil held the bat low with a relaxed stance, favoring drives on the up while also playing crisp cuts, flicks, and powerful pull shots. The historic moment came in the 14th over when Nabi joined his son at the crease. While Nabi largely played second fiddle, Eisakhil led the partnership and communicated actively with his father about reading the bowlers and executing shots.

Nabi contributed 17 off 13 balls before being dismissed, followed shortly by Eisakhil. The duo has previously faced each other in competitive cricket, with a memorable instance of Eisakhil hitting Nabi for a six going viral last year. Off the field, they have trained extensively together, with Nabi providing throwdowns and bowling in the nets, while Eisakhil also helped his father pack his kit after sessions, highlighting their close bond both on and off the field.
