Gold and silver prices surged sharply again on Monday, driven by heightened geopolitical uncertainty following the United States’ attack on Venezuela. The renewed global instability prompted investors to flock to precious metals as safe-haven assets, triggering a strong rally as markets reopened after a two-day holiday.

According to market sources, silver prices recorded a steep jump of ₹8,000 per kilogram in a single session, while gold prices rose by around ₹1,500 per 10 grams.

As per the latest rates, 22-carat gold climbed by ₹1,450 per 10 grams to ₹1,25,950, while 24-carat gold increased by ₹1,580 per 10 grams to ₹1,37,400. Silver also witnessed a significant surge, with prices rising by ₹8,000 per kg to reach ₹2,65,000 per kg.

Market analysts said the sharp movement became evident once trading resumed after the two-day break, reflecting heightened investor sentiment amid global developments. Experts noted that sustained volatility in international markets has once again reinforced gold and silver’s status as preferred safe-haven investments during periods of geopolitical and economic uncertainty.

Traders are now closely tracking global cues, as any further escalation in international tensions could lead to additional volatility in precious metal prices in the coming days.
