A fire broke out early Wednesday at the Delhi residence of senior BJP leader and Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.
Officials said the first alert reached the fire service at 8:05 am, initially misreported as house number 2, but soon corrected to number 21, Prasad’s residence. Three fire engines responded promptly, and firefighters extinguished the flames, which started in a bed inside one of the rooms, by 8:30 am, preventing further spread.
No injuries were reported, and a formal investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire.
