Tej Pratap Yadav, former Bihar minister and eldest son of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, met his estranged parents and brother Tejashwi Yadav at their Patna residence to invite them to a traditional dahi-chura feast for Makar Sankranti. The meeting marks a rare public appearance together amid reports of a long-standing family rift.
Sharing photographs with his father, mother Rabri Devi, and niece Katyayani, Tej Pratap confirmed the feast would be held today. The development follows a Makar Sankranti celebration hosted by Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha in Patna, attended by senior leaders including CM Nitish Kumar and Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, where Tej Pratap was also an invited guest.
Described as a "Historical Dahi-Chuda Bhoj," the feast blends tradition with reconciliation, using the festival as a platform for familial and political outreach. The sequence of meetings highlights efforts to bridge divides within Bihar’s political families while celebrating cultural unity.
