A violent group clash broke out in Kuhlachada village of Balasore district on Sunday night following an argument sparked by objectionable comments. The verbal dispute quickly escalated into physical violence, with members of two groups attacking each other, creating panic in the area.
Four people sustained severe injuries and were first rescued by locals before being shifted to Balasore District Headquarters Hospital, where they remain in serious condition under close medical supervision.
Baliapal police rushed to the scene soon after the incident and began probing the exact cause of the clash. Authorities are examining whether the violence was premeditated or triggered by sudden provocation.
