Rayagada, February 16:In a tragic and mysterious incident, the body of a local youth was discovered in a field near Baisinga village in Rayagada district early Monday morning, prompting serious concerns among villagers and relatives.
The deceased has been identified asSiddhant Gantha, a resident of Baisinga. According to family members, Siddhant had travelled to Rayagada town on Sunday for some personal work but did not return home later that night, sparking worry among his relatives.
On Monday morning, local villagers spotted a body lying in the agricultural land on the outskirts of the village and promptly alerted Siddhant’s family and the sarpanch. Upon arrival, they recognised the youth and were shocked by the discovery. A motorcycle belonging to Siddhant was found abandoned a short distance from the scene, raising further questions about what transpired.
Grief-stricken family members have alleged that Siddhant may have been murdered and urged the police to conduct a detailed investigation. “We do not know if this was an accident or something more sinister. We want justice and answers,” said one relative. Police reached the spot soon after being informed and have initiated an inquiry into the case.
