Chopper Clearance Row: Abhishek Banerjee Borrows CM Hemant Soren’s Aircraft, Slams BJP ‘Tricks’
In a fresh political tussle ahead of the upcoming elections, Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Abhishek Banerjee found himself unable to secure clearance for his helicopter to attend a poll rally. Facing this hurdle, Banerjee had to borrow a helicopter from Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren to reach his destination on time.
Speaking to the media, Banerjee accused the rival BJP of playing political games, calling the denial of clearance a “trick” aimed at obstructing his campaign efforts. “BJP thinks these tricks will stop me, but I am 10 times more stubborn than BJP,” he said, reaffirming his determination to continue campaigning despite administrative hurdles.
The incident comes amid heightened political tensions in key states, where both TMC and BJP are gearing up for intense electoral battles. Banerjee’s comments reflect growing concerns among opposition leaders about alleged attempts to use bureaucratic processes to impede political activities.
