The birth anniversaries of legendary freedom fighters Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Veer Surendra Sai were commemorated across the country on Friday with reverence and patriotic fervour. Tribute ceremonies, cultural programmes and remembrance events were organised to honour their immense contributions to India’s freedom struggle.
In Odisha’s Sambalpur district, the administration organised a tribute ceremony at Jail Chowk, where floral tributes were paid to Veer Surendra Sai. Cultural programmes and a Tiranga Padayatra were also held at Khinda, his birthplace. Meanwhile, Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan attended Parakram Diwas programmes in Cuttack to mark Netaji’s birth anniversary. The celebrations highlighted the enduring legacy of both leaders, whose ideals continue to inspire the nation.
