Border 2 Gets U/A 13+ Clearance With No Cuts; Tribute Trailer Honours Indian Armed Forces

Sunny Deol’s war epic Border 2 has received a U/A 13+ CBFC certification without any cuts. The makers have unveiled The Braves Of The Soil – Tribute Trailer, a powerful homage to the courage and sacrifice of Indian soldiers, ahead of the film’s December 2026 release.

Sunny Deol-starrer war drama Border 2 has been granted a U/A 13+ certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), with no cuts mandated, giving a major boost to the film ahead of its theatrical release. The certification reflects the film’s intense yet responsible portrayal of war, sacrifice and patriotism.

Alongside the certification news, the makers—T-Series and JP Films—have unveiled The Braves Of The Soil – Tribute Trailer, an emotionally charged visual homage to the Indian Armed Forces. Set to the soul-stirring track Mitte Ke Bete, composed and arranged by Mithoon, written by Manoj Muntashir and sung by Sonu Nigam, the trailer captures moments of grit, separation, resilience and unyielding courage.

The tribute trailer presents a montage of key scenes from Border 2, highlighting not only the bravery of soldiers on the battlefield but also the silent sacrifices made by their families back home. It underscores how every uniform carries the weight of national pride and how acts of valour are deeply rooted in personal loss.

The trailer launch event was attended by actors Varun Dhawan and Ahan Shetty, producers Bhushan Kumar and Nidhi Dutta, composer Mithoon and lyricist Manoj Muntashir. The event also paid tribute to real-life heroes and martyrs, with the presence of decorated war veterans and family members of fallen soldiers, adding emotional depth and authenticity to the occasion.

Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 is reportedly inspired by India’s multi-front military response to Pakistan’s Operation Changez Khan during the 1971 war. The film is a sequel to the iconic 1997 blockbuster Border and aims to carry forward its legacy of patriotism and realism.

Border 2 is scheduled for a grand theatrical release on December 5, 2026.
