Poor Potter in Raebareli Receives Shocking GST Notice of Rs 1.25 Crore, Alleges PAN-Aadhaar Misuse

A daily-wage potter from Raebareli was left shocked after receiving a GST notice of Rs 1.25 crore linked to firms he never operated. He claims his PAN and Aadhaar details were misused to run fake companies in Patna.

In a shocking case from Uttar Pradesh, Mohammad Saeed, a poor potter from Raebareli, has received a massive GST notice of Rs 1.25 crore, leaving his family devastated. Saeed, who earns a meagre income by selling clay pots and kulhars, claims he has never owned or operated any company. The notice reportedly links him to four firms allegedly functioning in Patna.

Saeed suspects that his PAN and Aadhaar details were misused after he lost the documents years ago while trying to secure a loan. Due to illiteracy, his family initially failed to understand the seriousness of the notice. After receiving another notice in February, they realised the huge tax liability.

The distressed family has now approached district authorities seeking justice and a proper investigation. Officials are yet to issue any official statement, while Saeed hopes his name will be cleared and those responsible for the fraud will be punished.
