Panic spread through Batagarh village in Sanakhemundi block of Ganjam, Odisha, after 13 goats and sheep were found dead in what is suspected to be an attack by an unknown animal.

The carcasses were discovered early on Sunday morning, prompting villagers to raise an alarm. Officials rushed to the scene and noted visible injuries around the necks of the animals, raising concerns among residents.

Veterinary Team Conducts InspectionA veterinary team, along with forensic personnel, visited the village to examine the carcasses. The animals were sent for post-mortem to determine the exact cause of death and the nature of their injuries.
