OSSC CGL candidates demand Odisha government extend online application deadline due to portal issues.

OSSC CGLRE-2025 Group B and C candidates appeal to CM Mohan Majhi and Chief Secretary Anu Garg to extend application deadlines amid persistent online portal glitches.

Aspirants applying for Group B and C posts under the Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission’s (OSSC) Combined Graduate Level Recruitment Examination (CGLRE-2025) have requested CM Mohan Majhi and Chief Secretary Anu Garg to extend application deadlines due to persistent technical issues with the online portal.

In their representation submitted on Tuesday, candidates reported repeated difficulties during registration and form submission, including login failures, delays in portal access, errors during document uploads, and interruptions while submitting completed forms. Several aspirants also alleged that Rs 500 was deducted from their accounts despite unsuccessful submissions, causing financial and mental distress. They urged the government and OSSC to resolve portal issues and provide a fair extension to prevent genuine applicants from being excluded.

The official application schedule notes that online registration began on December 19, 2025, and closes on January 18, 2026, with the last date for completed submissions on January 21 and editing allowed until January 24. The recruitment aims to fill 1,576 vacancies, including 504 posts reserved for women.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university and have basic computer skills. The age limit is 21–42 years as of January 1, 2025, with relaxations for reserved categories, women, persons with disabilities, and ex-servicemen. Selection will be through a main written exam covering language and general studies, a mathematics test for auditor posts, and a computer skill test for select services.
