Odisha’s Prajnapan Medha tableau has been approved by the Union Ministry of Defence for the 2026 Republic Day parade, representing the state among 17 other states and union territories. The presentation draws inspiration from Odisha’s artistic heritage and will include the traditional Ghoda Nacha dance, showcasing the state’s cultural vibrancy. Officials confirmed that preparations, supervised by artist Gajendra Sahoo, are on track for completion, reflecting Odisha’s craftsmanship, art forms, and pride. Previously, Odisha’s 2024 tableau featuring Raghurajpur heritage crafts and messages on women’s empowerment won the best tableau award, setting high expectations for this year’s presentation.
