The Odisha government has assured timely conduct of panchayat elections, with preparations actively underway. While the delimitation and restructuring of panchayats, blocks, and tehsils is currently on hold due to the ongoing census, departmental meetings and reviews of public suggestions have been conducted.
The Panchayati Raj Department will consider all proposals and objections before resuming formal reorganisation post-census, ensuring elections proceed smoothly within the legal timeframe.
