Odisha Chief Secretary Anu Garg held a high-level review meeting to assess preparations for the smooth and transparent conduct of the Matriculation and Plus Two examinations, calling them crucial milestones in students’ academic journeys. Emphasising error-free examination management, she directed officials to maintain strict supervision and adopt a zero-tolerance approach toward negligence at any stage.
The meeting highlighted the importance of readiness at examination centres, strong security arrangements, and effective checking mechanisms to prevent irregularities. Officials were instructed to ensure adequate infrastructure, sufficient manpower, and seamless coordination among all concerned departments. The Chief Secretary warned that any lapse or dereliction of duty would invite strict action.
Senior officials from relevant departments, along with all district collectors and superintendents of police, attended the meeting, reflecting the state government’s coordinated effort. Over five lakh students are expected to appear for the Matriculation examination starting February 19, while nearly four lakh students will sit for the Plus Two examinations beginning February 18.
