Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the ongoing US-Israel strikes on Iran are “quick and decisive” and not an endless war, describing them as a gateway to lasting peace in the Middle East. Speaking on Fox News, he said the campaign aims to weaken Iran’s “unreformable” leadership, halt its nuclear and ballistic missile programs, and create conditions for the Iranian people to influence their government.
Netanyahu emphasized that military intervention was unavoidable, as Iran had resumed nuclear and missile development despite previous strikes. He praised US President Donald Trump for supporting decisive action and rejected claims that Israel dragged the US into the conflict.
According to US officials, over 1,250 targets in Iran have been hit, including nuclear sites, military facilities, and ships, while retaliatory attacks in Kuwait have killed six US personnel. The conflict has also affected global energy markets, shipping routes through the Strait of Hormuz, and aviation, escalating tensions across the Gulf.
