New Delhi:
TheNational Testing Agency (NTA)has asked candidates ofJEE Main 2026to verify the identity documents they submitted during registration byJanuary 15, 2026. Candidates whose uploaded ID proof or application photographs do not match official records are required to take action.
The NTA notice states that students who used documents other thanAadhaaror whose photos differed from UIDAI records must now submit asigned and attested certificatealong with arecent photograph, certified by their school or college principal/headmaster. If candidates face difficulty with this process, attestation from aClass-I Gazetted Officer—including Tehsildars, SDMs, DMs, Revenue Officers, or, for NRIs, Indian Embassy officials—is also accepted.
TheJEE Main 2026exams are set to begin onJanuary 21, 2026. City-specific exam centers and instructions are expected to be announced in the first week of January. Qualified candidates will be eligible for undergraduate engineering and architecture programs.
