The credibility of the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 answer key has come under renewed scrutiny after the Coaching Federation of India (CFI) raised concerns over multiple alleged errors in the provisional solutions released by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
According to CFI, at least 17 questions suffer from issues such as ambiguous wording, incorrect calculations, technical inaccuracies, and multiple correct options. Of these, the federation has demanded bonus marks for 10 questions it considers fundamentally flawed. Physics reportedly accounts for the majority of the disputed questions.
The controversy has also reignited criticism of the objection process, with students required to pay ₹200 per question to challenge errors. Many aspirants have taken to social platforms to share concerns about fairness, noting that even a single mark can cause major rank shifts in one of India’s most competitive entrance exams.
The final answer key and results for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 are expected on February 12. Any revisions following the objection review will be reflected in the final scores, as students and parents await clarity amid mounting pressure for transparency and accountability.
