Iran is set to honor the late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei with a three-day farewell ceremony in Tehran. According to Hojjatoleslam Mahmoudi, head of Iran’s Islamic Propagation Council, the public can visit Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Prayer Hall from 10 pm local time on Wednesday to pay their respects.
The funeral procession for Khamenei, who was killed on Saturday in an airstrike by the United States and Israel, will be announced at a later date. The ceremony is expected to draw large crowds, reflecting Khamenei’s long-standing influence and the nation’s mourning for its late leader.
